Multi Stakeholder Enagagement

Chapter contribution to India’s Voluntary National Review (2020) to document the private sector models contributing to SDGs.CRB was invited by NITI Aayog (the Indian Government’s think tank) to document the various models through which the private sector in India contributes to the SDG agenda. NITI Aayog regularly measures and monitors the performance of various Indian states on the SDG indicator framework. However, a similar measuring framework for the private sector is missing and has been expressed as an area of further development by NITI and CRB was thus invited to share some insights based on its work. CRB, through the PROGRESS project has gathered evidence and information on the various models for private sector engagement. This knowledge was used to develop the chapter for NITI Aayog. The chapter was appreciated by NITI and information from the same was included in the official VNR submitted by India in 2020.
